Providing a Better Drag Image

The REALbasic DragItem class provides only a minimal rectangle for drag feedback in Mac OS applications. This is not the sort of eye candy Mac OS users expect. I’ve uploaded an example that shows how to set the drag image using a REALbasic Picture. This allows you to show text or perhaps a favorite boa during the drag operation.

  1. I just ran it with 10.4.11 and RB2008r2 and didn’t get a picture. It dragged the row name. Just without a pic. The pic is there when I run it through the debugger. Curious since you made this with 2008r2…

  2. Other people have had the same problem, and I am able to reproduce it. Unfortunately, I cannot determine why the image is not appearing.
